But the duo eloped together and got married in Las Vegas in 2000. Both of them were in every sense inseparable from each other, going as far as to wear each other’s blood as necklaces.
But they shocked everyone when they abruptly announced their separation just three years after their marriage in 2003. In an interview for the HEPA in Conversation podcast, the singer talked about his past relationship with Jolie. He added:
I remember our time together as really being great. (Further) We just had different lifestyles. Hers is a global lifestyle and mine is an agoraphobic lifestyle. So, that’s really—that’s the only reason we’re probably not still together, maybe, because of a different path in life we wanted to take.
While the singer-songwriter had only good things to add about the actress. The same cannot be said about her ongoing divorce battle with Brad Pitt. The duo has been legally single since 2019, but despite their marriage ending in 2016, their messy divorce is still pending at the moment.
