The film industry can be pretty challenging and demanding when it wants to be, and the actors and actresses that are part of it have to take into consideration just how far it can push them. But compared to others, stars like Halle Berry, who is a veteran in the business knows all the risks and benefits of doing those demanding jobs when the time arises, and she doesn’t shy away from it.

From hardcore action and deadly stunts to explicit and intimate scenes and everything in between, the actress has done all of it and then some, which makes her one of the most dynamic performers in the industry. And to make it possible, she needs the support of people she’s working with, something that helped her create one of the most intense lovemaking scenes in cinema.

While she is known for her depiction of Storm from the X-Men franchise and most recently, as Sofia Al-Azwar from the John Wick series, it may be surprising to know that actress Halle Berry is known as more than just an action star. In fact, she has been part of so many films in so many drastically different roles from each other that it’s hard to put her into a category. And if that wasn’t enough, she also leaves no distance unscaled when it comes to her job, something that she depicted when she shot for her film Monster’s Ball with her co-star.

In a past interview, the Die Another Day star talked about her explicit scene with Billy Bob Thornton in their Oscar-nominated film, where she revealed how that scene came to be in the first place. She said that she was only comfortable with the scene because of her n*de scene in Swordfish and that if she wanted this scene to turn out one of the best, she had a condition in place for her co-star, which was to strip down as naked as she would be while filming the scene. She said:

”I would only do it if Billy Bob agreed to be as naked as I was, In Swordfish, it was totally gratuitous n*dity, and I knew it. But I probably wouldn’t have been able to do the s*x scene in Monster’s Ball if I hadn’t shown my br*asts in Swordfish,”

And so, going above and beyond the norms of shooting a film, they created an exceptional film that went on to win Berry an Academy Award for Best Female in a Leading Role.
