Jujutsu Kaisen has a lot of action brewing in both the manga and the anime. While Yuji Itadori is about to face Choso in Season 2, he is about to square up with a full-powered Ryomen Sukuna in the upcoming Chapter 239, slated for a release on October 22.
Looking back at past events, Sukuna got a deceptive win over Satoru Gojo via the ‘Dismantle’ attack. His body was severely damaged during the battle such that he was unable to use his powers properly. That changed in Chapter 238, when got reincarnated in the body of Megumi Fushiguro, seemingly killing the latter in the process.
Now in his perfect build, Sukuna destroyed the Sun and Moon squad, the Five Void Generals, the Desshi Pacification Squad, and killed Kashimo with the cursed weapons Kamutoke and Hiten. It now falls upon the shoulders of Yuju and Hiromi Higurama to stop the villain’s rampage.

A Classic Court Trial Could Result in Sukuna’s Defeat in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 239
Yuji and Higurama seem to have no chance against Ryomen Sukuna, who has already killed more powerful characters than the two like Gojo and Kashimo. His extra set of hands and an extra mouth now also provide the sorcerer an edge in incantations and sealing abilities. This may not even be his final form as many fans suspect.
Jujutsu Kaisen fans are expecting a miracle to occur in Chapter 239. Despite the herculean challenge that lies ahead, Yuji and Hiromi Higurama have been pitched to defeat Sukuna since the stage has been set in a court trial fashion, foreshadowing the use of Higurama’s famous technique.

Higuarama’s Domain Expansion Technique ‘Deadly Sentencing’ consumes the target and traps them in a court trial overlooked by a shikigami named JudgeMan. It also has the power to negate other Domain Expansions. This could be the game changer in the battle against the King of Curses.
Once Higurama is able to activate the Domain Expansion, Sukuna, the defendant, will have three options available to him: silence, confession, and denial. He will have to defend the accusations made by the prosecutor (Higurama). If the verdict is guilty, the defendant will lose the ability to control cursed energy since it will be confiscated by the JudgeMan.
Ryomen Sukuna has been depicted as a remorseless killer in Jujutsu Kaisen. Although his twisted mind could make him escape the clutches of Deadly Sentencing, it has been seen that the villain has let his guard down since his transformation. He may commit his crimes rather than playing it safe and thus give an advantage to Yuji Itadori and Hiromi Higurama.

Deadly Sentencing Can Break The Spirit of Ryomen Sukuna
There is no violence allowed in the Deadly Sentencing Domain Expansion. Moreover, the JudgeMan knows about the past of each individual inside the domain. Once he knows about the atrocities committed by Ryomen Sukuna and evidence is presented by Higurama about the same, he will confiscate a massive portion of Sukuna’s powers based on his damning misdeeds.
Once the domain closes and The King of Curses is devoid of cursed techniques, Yuji Itadori can step up to him in hand-to-hand combat. He is a trained karate fighter and knows about ‘taido’ martial arts. Itadori had previously defeated powerful sorcerers with his fists and may resort to similar treatment when it comes to Gojo’s killer.
Yuji needs a massive win to cement himself as a main hero in Jujutsu Kaisen. His partnership with Hiromi Higurama is seen by fans as similar to Naruto and Sasuke. Nonetheless, the decision lies with Gege Akutami on who they choose to award the victory.
