In 2018, after the release of the film, the Passengers star revealed that while she might’ve gone full birthday suit in the film, it wasn’t as simple as a walk in the park. She said that when she went ahead with the film, she was ready to do what was necessary, but she wasn’t ready for the fear that actually came with doing something like this. But she persevered, and after performing those scenes, got a sense of empowerment. She said:

“It took a while to say yes – and the night before I didn’t sleep at all and I was obviously really nervous because it is the actual nightmare of standing in front of a classroom naked. But then after I finished the scene, I felt empowered.”

Thus, by taking on a challenge, she emerged on the other side with more confidence and mental fortitude for her career in the future.
