The Academy Award-winning actress, who had moral issues with the scene, famously said:

“It was weird. And everything was done right; nobody did anything wrong. It’s just a bizarre experience. But then that led to more anxiety when I got home because I was like, ‘What have I done? I don’t know.’ And he was married.

And it was going to be my first time kissing a married man, and guilt is the worst feeling in your stomach. And I knew it was my job, but I couldn’t tell my stomach that.”

Lawrence admitted that she even called her mother for reassurance, admitting that she felt “the most vulnerable” during the filming of that scene. Irrespective of her guilt, rumors of her on-set affair with Chris Pratt circulated, died down, and again got revived after his divorce from Anna Faris in 2017, and the blame went on none other than the American Hustle star.

Anna Faris, who admitted that she felt insecure when the so-called cheating rumors circulated, also said that Jennifer Lawrence “hadn’t done anything wrong”. But then, she separated from Pratt after eight years of marriage in 2017, finalizing the divorce in 2018. A source revealed that Pratt never felt “good enough” for Faris.

Coming back to Lawrence, the actress shrugged off the sneak relationship rumors in 2018, revealing that everyone blamed her when she was not even present in Pratt’s life or city during the time. The X-Men actress said:

“I never had an affair with Chris Pratt on Passengers. That’s a good one. I mean they got a divorce like two years later and everybody was like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence!’ And I was like, ‘What the…what I’m in Montreal two years later.'”

While Pratt’s marriage with Anna Faris couldn’t be a hit, the Morten Tyldum-directed sci-fi movie did garner praise for Lawrence and Pratt’s performance. However, the movie was criticized for its plot. Nevertheless, the film grossed $304 million worldwide against a budget of $100-150 million, also bagging an Oscar nomination.
