“I was in a slightly different place in my career. I mean, you had done Avatar at that point. You were not arrogant but you could afford at that point to be kind of discerning as to what came in, you’d see, you were at that, as you’d cross into that threshold where you know, it’s important to say no to things that weren’t right so you may have to consider this was not right.

“And that’s a tough place to be in, when you’re approaching a film like this which 10 years ago, eveyone thought was going to fail for me I was just thrilled to be able to do anything and you know I was like moments away from gladly accepting a Friskies commercial.”

Chris Pratt added that when he learned that he will be playing the role of Starlord in the movie, he got very excited and how he will be in a Marvel movie and finally how he can read the script of the movie.

“So, uh, for me for me when I got the call that I got the job, I was very excited and then immediately it became daunting to think like wow well now we have to make a movie and also can I finally read the script.”

While the actor shared how his life changed when he was selected to play the role of Starlord in the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, he shared how he has numerous memorable scenes in the movie, one of them being kicked Zoe Saldana in the ribs was his most memorable one.

“You could ask me this question, and I’d probably come up with a different answer at any given moment, but what’s coming to my mind right now was our first choreographed fight sequence which happens at the sort of Plaza area of Zandar, where we do this whole bit and we’re fighting each other and you kicked me very hard in the ribs which still when it’s cold out you feel. It’s just 10 years, I’m-I’m sure, it will get better, it’s not something I’ll feel until the day I die.”

While the franchise is coming to an end with the third sequel, people who have not watched the sequel yet should definitely go and watch the movie as it is perfect from every aspect, featuring great soundtracks, well-written characters, and a heartwarming ending making it a perfect watch with family and friends.
