Arnold Schwarzenegger was a part of the DC Universe way back in 1997 when he portrayed the role of Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin. Although the film turned out to be a disastrous failure, Schwarzenegger did become a part of the DC Universe.
Although the actor is done with the franchise, his son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, seems to allegedly be attached to the DCU. With rumors and speculations, Schwarzenegger’s son is eyed for the role of Hal Jordan in the DCU.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Son May Join The DCU
With James Gunn and Peter Safran handling the DC Studios, there are several leaks and insider talks making their way around the internet. A subreddit dedicated to all the DCU leaks recently teased some big changes.

Dividing the leaks into three categories of verified, partially verified, and, unverified sources, the subreddit, titled r/DCEUleaks, revealed quite some iconic rumors. In the discussion, the subreddit talked about how there is going to be a series titled Lanterns. As per the topic, Lanterns will allegedly comprise 10 episodes. The other report states that Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, is eyed for the role of Hal Jordan.
Since Arnold Schwarzenegger was already a part of the DC Universe, it would be a natural thing for Patrick Schwarzenegger to join the DCU and portray the role of Hal Jordan. These allegations remain unconfirmed to date and no offer has been made to Schwarzenegger for the same.
Patrick Schwarzenegger Was Almost Hired For The Boys
In a surprising twist, Schwarzenegger had originally auditioned for the role of Homelander in Amazon’s The Boys! He was even shortlisted for the role until Antony Starr replaced him. And that is how Patrick Schwarzenegger ended up in Gen V.
“They were just like, ‘It’s about this. This is the character. This is what’s going to happen in this,’. I was like, ‘OK, it’s The Boys. I know it’s going to be something crazy but it’s an amazing show.’” the actor told Variety.
He further continued,
“And then when I started reading [the scripts] on set, I was like, ‘Oh boy, this is going to be, yeah, this will be fun and interesting.’”
Patrick Schwarzenegger portrayed the role of Golden Boy quite beautifully in Gen V which only adds to his credibility in the long run. With Gen V season 1 having recently come to an end, the Patrick Schwarzenegger-starrer is available to stream on Prime Video around the world.
