Following Olsen’s desire for a Wanda and Magneto crossover, rumors suggest that Ryan Reynolds has been eyeing to bring in Tatum for the role of the X-Men character, Gambit.

At one point Channing Tatum was set to play the X-Men character Gambit in a solo MCU movie. However, his dream role as a crime-fighting mutant in the X-Men spin-off never took off, as the project died in development. Devastated after the cancelation of his MCU movie, Tatum even claimed that he was unable to watch Marvel movies for a long time.

However, it feels Channing Tatum’s worst days are finally over, as rumors suggest, Ryan Reynolds is eyeing Tatum for the role of Gambit in his upcoming movie Deadpool 3. Although the speculations were started by fans after a digital artist posted a fan artwork of Tatum as Gambit, on his Instagram account, fans seem highly invested in the rumors.

Following the Instagram post, as rumors took shape, several media outlets began reporting the same. Pushing the rumor hard, to turn it into reality, news outlets are hoping that the trades might soon weigh in with Tatum’s casting news. Even fans are excited over the speculations and wish for it to be true, especially after Channing Tatum mentioned his heartbreak over his canceled project.

Elizabeth Olsen Teased Wanda And Magneto Crossover  

It’s not just Channing Tatum who is rumored to be appearing in Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3, but also Elizabeth Olsen, who teased a Wanda and Magneto crossover. Previously, after MCU heads and Deadpool 3 director confirmed Wolverine’s return in the upcoming R-rated movie, Olsen shared her desire for her crossover comeback.

After Deadpool 3 director teamed up Ryan Reynolds with Hugh Jackman, as Deadpool and Wolverine, Olsen reacted to the news and even revealed who she would like to work with, if offered a role.

I don’t know. I think if whenever we bring in X-Men—I guess Wolverine is X-Men, right? I mean, it would be cool to work with a lot of those people from the X-Men franchise. I think [Michael] Fassbender’s [Magneto is] my dad in some world? That would be [cool].

Deadpool 3 is scheduled to hit the theatres on May 3, 2024.
