With Cavill being replaced by David Corenswet, the world erupted into chaos. Wanting a much younger actor for the role of Superman, James Gunn decided to replace Cavill with Corenswet. Since the DCU is just on the verge of making, there are plenty of recasts for some iconic actors and characters.

Talking about his upcoming magnum opus, James Gunn is busy with the making of Superman: Legacy. Since Henry Cavill will not be a part of the upcoming movie, there are reports that Sasha Calle will not be reprising the role of Supergirl in Superman: Legacy. According to Daniel RPK, Supergirl will indeed appear in Superman: Legacy but the casting for Sasha Calle will not be a part of it.

During the promotion of the 2013 movie The Man From U.N.C.L.E, Henry Cavill talked about how there was a curse and a boon to portraying the role of Superman in the DCEU. In an interview with The Guardian, the actor revealed that he has to maintain his body everywhere.

“There’s a blessing in being Superman. You get more attention. But there’s also a curse, which is that you’d better f–king look like Superman any time you need to get your kit off.”

Although Superman will indeed feel different without Henry Cavill, the world is indeed awaiting what a new Supergirl could do in the DCU. As per the recent reports, Superman: Legacy is slated for a release date of 11 July 2025.
