He’s accused of illegally paying $130,000 to Daniels. According to a report in The Wrap, the 45th U.S. President is facing 34 criminal counts for the alleged payment to Daniels to cover up his affair with her. Prosecutors say he tried to write off the money to his former lawyer Michael Cohen as legal expenses.

Trump has already lost a five-day defamation trial against E. Jean Carroll after a New York City jury ordered him to pay $83.3 million to the writer, who said he destroyed her reputation as a trustworthy journalist by denying he raped her.

Speaking on her podcast, Megyn Kelly suggested she’s expecting the same outcome in the upcoming trial, stating:

“This is the same kind of jury that he’s going to get on the Stormy Daniels hush money. He has a zero chance of winning.”

Kelly’s prediction has paved the way for some interesting (as well as furious) reactions from internet users.

“Obviously, things have been next-level crazy, since I am set to testify in, at this point in time, March — obviously, that can change any moment — in the hush money case.”

The whole situation stems from a 2018 report from The Wall Street Journal, which claimed that Trump arranged a $130,000 payment to Daniels in 2016 to buy her silence and prevent her from discussing a s-xual encounter she said she had with him in 2006.

All this time, the 77-year-old has denied having an affair with the adult film actress and director.
