Marvel Studios finally announced the Fantastic Four cast as a Valentine’s Day surprise for the fans. MCU’s own F4 team will consist of Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. Amidst the casting announcement, a new concept art made by a fan is circulating the internet where Pedro Pascal dons the full Mister Fantastic gear.
Pedro Pascal was playing coy about his involvement in the film until very recently. Many Marvel fans are excited about Pascal’s entry into the MCU after his recent successes with The Mandalorian and The Last of Us.
Concept Art Shows Pedro Pascal In Full Gear As Reed Richards
Three-time Emmy nominee Pedro Pascal was a fan favorite to be cast as Reed Richards in the MCU’s Fantastic Four. Deadline reported in November that the Wonder Woman 1984 actor was in talks to play the leader of the superhero family in the film. On Wednesday, Marvel Studios announced via their X page that Pascal along with Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach were confirmed for the roles.

While the announcement itself was something to excite the fans, one fan made the day even more exciting for Marvel fans. The X page, @21xfour, posted a concept art they designed featuring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards. In the art, Pascal is seen wearing a modern-day version of the classic suit. The dark blue suit is combined with black accents and a Fantastic Four insignia on the front.
The artist revealed that they had been working on the concept for some time and the casting announcement was the perfect timing to release their work. The fan had earlier worked on several pieces. One particular thing they focused on the art, something which Marvel kept in their announcement picture as well, was Pedro Pascal’s mustache which perfectly fit in with the character.

Pascal got his breakthrough in television with his role as Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones and went on to grab and deliver on several opportunities. The Marvel role came at a high point in Pascal’s career. John Krasinski, Adam Driver, Matt Smith, and Jake Gyllenhaal were contenders for the Mister Fantastic role before Pascal. Krasinski played the role in a brief cameo appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Pascal and his other Fantastic Four co-stars may play a crucial role in the upcoming Avengers film, Avengers: Secret Wars. The film is expected to hit theaters in 2027.
What To Know About The Other Fantastic Four Cast?
Vanessa Kirby had earlier expressed interest in playing Sue Storm after several fans named her as one of their favorites for the role. Appearing on the red carpet of her movie Napoleon, Kirby shared with Variety that she “would be very honored to join” the MCU. The Hobbs & Shaw actress was nominated for an Academy Award for her role in Pieces of a Woman. She has also appeared in the Mission: Impossible films and Netflix’s The Crown.
Joseph Quinn became a fan-favorite actor after he played Eddie Munson in Season 4 of Stranger Things. Quinn will step into a role previously played by Chris Evans, that of Johnny Storm aka Human Torch. Quinn is also set to appear in upcoming projects like Ridley Scott‘s Gladiator sequel, where he will collaborate with Pedro Pascal, and A Quiet Place: Day One.
Ebon Moss-Bachrach made his Marvel debut in the first season of The Punisher, where he played David Lieberman / Micro. Ben Grimm will be his second outing in the MCU. Moss-Bachrach is also riding high on the success of his series, The Bear, for which he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
According to the new update, Fantastic Four is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 25, 2025.
