Ever since Avengers: Endgame came off the theaters, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been steadily declining when it comes to fan interest. While there are huge lists of reasons why it could be happening, from superhero fatigue to fans not liking how many characters are being introduced in a small time frame, it is safe to say that the franchise has fans worried. Projects like She-Hulk, Thor: Love and Thunder, and The Marvels, being referred to as sub-par and outright bad did not help their case.

In these difficult times for the once great empire, projects like Spider-Man: No Way Home, Loki, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 were a beacon of hope for fans and the franchise alike. There is one upcoming film, however, that could save the MCU from the tragic fate of irrelevance; Deadpool 3, also known as Deadpool & Wolverine.

Fans have been hyped for this film in a way that has not been seen since the 2019 epic. This is why it is extremely concerning to find out that one of the core writers of this film is someone who wrote for two of the biggest disappointments from the franchise to date.

Deadpool & Wolverine holds the entire future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on its shoulders. The names of the writers were not something that fans had not seen, with a majority of them being a part of the Deadpool films from the start, as well as director Shawn Levy, and Reynolds himself. There was, however, one name that stuck out like a sore thumb; Zeb Wells. The American writer is known for working on projects like She-Hulk, and Thor: Love and Thunder.

Marvel Fans Grow Wary

It is a fact well-known among fans of Marvel that She-Hulk, and Thor: Love and Thunder are two of the worst projects to come out of the MCU. Both having lists of complaints from viewers and critics alike, it would not be far-fetched to say that they played a very big role in the distrust fans have towards the franchise now.

Many were quick to show their worry for a film they have been excited about for years. They were questioning if his involvement would end up hurting the film’s quality and yet another project from the franchise would be ruined. Some spoke on the irony of the fact that a majority of the people who are mentioned in this list are some great talents, whereas Wells seems to not fit in with the rest.
