James Gunn has been working hard to revamp the entire DC Universe. Wanting desperately to move away from Zack Snyder’s Snyderverse, his goal is to create something new, exciting, and unrepetitive. And hence, one of the new projects he has introduced is Superman: Legacy.

When James Gunn took over the leadership of DC along with Peter Safran, he expressed his desire to create a never before seen perspective of DC. Full of exciting turns and newer storylines, Gunn perhaps subtly took a dig at Zack Snyder and his Snyderverse. Despite being a multi-million-grossing movie franchise, Gunn quickly put an end to multiple projects and fired actors like Henry Cavill in an attempt to ‘recreate’ DCverse.

While many applauded his decision, there is an equal – if not more – number of fans who claim Snyderverse is the best vision of DC. And now as James Gunn attempts to move away from Snyderverse, fans have put forth an unusual demand claiming that he should create another Batman vs Superman movie that could try to topple Zack Snyder’s $873 Million classic. This is what fans have to say:

Well, despite fans’ wish to have another Batman Vs Superman, the possibilities of that happening are equal to Henry Cavill returning as Superman.

Referred to as ‘the God of superhero movies’, Gunn, ever since he took over DC, has been wanting to completely transform DC verse. Exceptionally cryptic of his predecessors, Gunn has been wanting to create a more connected and consistent world. He once said,

“No one was minding the mint. They were giving away intellectual property like they were party favors at any creator who smiled at them.”

What fans called out to be ‘an apparent dig’ at previous DC creators including Zack Snyder, Gunn forgets that it was Snyder who originally attempted to create a connected film franchise, focusing on the original comic book storyline. However, ever since his departure, it seems the cryptical mess DC verse has been in has been dumped over Snyder.

While James Gunn attempts to create a newer DC verse, different from Marvel or the DCEU, fans have been pointing out how the newly released The Flash seems similar to Marvel’s multiverse concept.
