Henry Cavill has been an avid gamer with a penchant for fantasy games. The actor found more credibility when he starred as Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher. As the deal went sour, Cavill parted ways with The Witcher franchise to figure out his own persona and projects.
In recent news, fans still cannot get enough of Henry Cavill and swords since the actor was fan-cast in the iconic HBO series House of the Dragon as a Targaryen. With several coinciding qualities that the actor shares with the Targaryens, it wouldn’t be so bad of an idea!
Henry Cavill Looks Great In A Targaryen Cloak!
Well, it’s not like the actor hasn’t already been fan-cast in fantasy roles before, but this role does suit the actor very much so. Portraying Geralt of Rivia in Netflix’s The Witcher, Henry Cavill had white hair, a deeper and gruff voice, and a muscular physique to back him up. Well, luckily for the actor, all these traits can be used in another fantasy show.
Taking to Reddit, a loyal user posted a fan cover of Henry Cavill in the character of Aegon I Targaryen. Sitting atop a dragon, the actor boasted an ivory cloak with a sash and a cloak much similar to what Aegon I Targaryen is described in the book Fire & Blood.
Well, with the Man of Steel actor getting fired from The Witcher and from his role as Superman in the DCU, it seems that there is yet a flicker of hope for fans to see Henry Cavill don the Targaryen Cloak and take up arms against whoever feels right. Although nothing has been confirmed or denied yet, Cavill is already busy making his own project of adapting the Warhammer 40,000 franchise to a TV series.
Fans Have Faith In Henry Cavill’s Warhammer 40,000 Adaptation
In a recent Twitch stream, Asmongold, who is known for playing MMO and RPG titles recently commented about Cavill on his stream. Stating that it was a very good idea of Cavill to adapt the game, Asmongold stated that the actor sees the project as a fan and not as a director which is great.
“The problem that I think a lot of these shows have as I was thinking about this the other day is that, Henry Cavill is coming at it from the perspective of a fan and I think that a lot of these other shows, whether it’s like Halo or The Witcher, the other people come at it from the perspective as a writer or as a director, producer or something like that.”
Although a release date has not been announced yet, the fans are quite ecstatic about Cavill’s project. The actor will be last seen portraying the role of Geralt of Rivia when Netflix’s The Witcher Season 3 Vol. 2 drops on 27th July on Netflix.
