The excitement for the upcoming film Deadpool 3 has undoubtedly increased with Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra, but some folks aren’t quite thrilled about it. One of the netizens wrote on the internet that once again it will be the same old pointless nostalgia. Some netizens also mentioned that they are waiting for the movie to release and see what twist the makers have added after bringing back two superhero characters- Elektra and Wolverine.

Garner was first seen as Elektra in the 2003 movie Daredevil. She collaborated with her ex-husband Ben Affleck on the action fantasy movie. In 2005, the Juno actress was back on the big screen as the superhero character in the movie Elektra. The Alias actress received a lot of appreciation for portraying the role of the Marvel character, even if the movie didn’t do well at the box office.

The audience may have loved the character Elektra in Daredevil but when the movie Elektra was released on the big screen it was a disaster. During an interview, Garner’s Alias co-star, Michael Vartan discussed Garner’s reaction after the movie was released on 14 January 2005. While talking about the action-adventure movie, the actor said,

“I heard Elektra was awful. Jennifer called me and told me it was awful…She had to do it because of Daredevil. It was in her contract.”

The Pearl Harbor actress also spoke about the response she received from the fans and the disappointment she went through after the release of the movie. Garner said during an interview,

“It’s such a shame, honestly, because once Kevin took over everything there was elevated: the writing, the direction, the comedy inside of the stories they were telling…And I did not have that experience.”
