This deal won’t just bag you Starfield, which is coming to the service day and date, you’ll also be able to access Xbox Game Pass’ extensive catalog of games and other perks such as online multiplayer and more. If you’re not a subscriber yet, this might be a great time to jump on the bandwagon.

Since launching in Early Access on August 31, Starfield player numbers have been skyrocketing, and these will only multiply once the game hits Xbox Game Pass on September 6. Especially with Amazon’s incredible deal that couldn’t come at a better time! The e-commerce giant is running a promotion offering 30% off Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on its US site. The deal is currently priced at $31.49 for a 3-month subscription, or $10.49 per month.

Amazon’s promotion is quite the bargain when compared to the subscription’s regular price, and an even better deal considering that Xbox only just increased the Game Pass prices. In August, the monthly rate for Ultimate rose by $2 from $14.99 to $16.99, with the Standard subscription going up by $1 from $9.99 to $10.99. With this price hike rolling out just in time before the highly anticipated release of Starfield, Microsoft obviously saw an opportunity to make a bigger profit.

Amazon to the rescue! The e-commerce company evidently also saw an opportunity to profit from Starfield, but by offering players a discount instead of a price hike. If you got a monthly Ultimate subscription at its usual price, three months would rid you of $50.97. With Amazon’s 30%-off deal, you can save $19.48 in that period, or save $6.50 per month. If that’s not a good bargain, we don’t know what is. Note that this offer is currently only available in the US.

Microsoft’s popular subscription service is one of the best gaming deals out there as it is. Today’s promotion means you can get Ultimate at a cheaper rate than Standard normally costs. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the service’s highest tier, which includes a bevy of benefits and perks such as online multiplayer, PC Game Pass, member discounts, EA Play, and more.

The service’s main selling point is, of course, its rotating library of hundreds of Xbox games and the addition of Xbox Game Studios titles on the day of their release. Starting tomorrow, this will include one of the most highly anticipated games of the year (if not the generation): Bethesda’s space epic Starfield.

For everyone who has been living under a rock, Starfield is an expansive RPG set in space. It’s Bethesda’s first IP in almost 30 years, and their most ambitious title to date, offering players a vast open galaxy with hundreds of planets and star systems to explore freely.

Players and critics who got their hands on the title through Early Access have been journeying through the stars for a few days now. It has been getting mostly positive reviews and is currently sitting on an 86 on Metacritic and an 88 on OpenCritic. With an all-time peak of more than 248,000 concurrent players on Steam in Early Access, it’s easy to see players have been extremely eager to journey to the stars.

As a day-one title on Xbox Game Pass, you can start playing Starfield right at launch tomorrow without having to dish out $69.99. If you haven’t subscribed yet, and you want to hop onto the galactic hype train of Starfield, now might be the best time to join.
