Jack Quaid has made a name for himself as an actor and has become increasingly popular among the masses. People primarily know him for playing Hughie in The Boys. The charming yet vulnerable quality that he gives the character impressed viewers. He also starred in other recent successful films such as Scream and this year’s Oppenheimer.
Quaid is the son of actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan and naturally the aspect of nepotism came into play. Ryan recently defended his son from being labeled a ‘Nepo baby’ and stated that he has carved a path for himself with his talent.
Meg Ryan Defends Her Son from the ‘Nepo Baby’ Accusations
Jack Quaid is slowly becoming a popular name and a rising star in Hollywood. His role as Hughie in The Boys has brought him to fame and made him an interesting actor to watch out for. However, being the son of actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, he has been called out and labeled as a ‘Nepo Baby’ and assumedly benefiting from the legacy of his two movie star parents.
Ryan in an interview with Glamour talked about how this label is unfair to his son’s natural talent and skills. She also revealed the instance that she recognized the actor in him. She said,
“Jack is really talented. He’s more of a natural than I’ll ever be. That nepo stuff is so dismissive of his work ethic, his gifts, and how sensitive he is to the idea of his privilege.”
Fans of Quaid also took to X to voice their support and love for the actor while speaking out against these unfair judgments. Here’s what some of them had to say,
He got a head start, sure, but his talent keeps him in the race. Ain’t his fault who his parents are.

Quaid will return a Hughie in the fourth season of The Boys next year. His brief appearance in Oppenheimer this year was also noticed by fans and was appreciated.
Jack Quaid Says The Boys Season 4 Is The ‘Best One Yet’
The teaser trailer of The Boys season 4 was recently released and indicated a wild and politically heavy season. Jack Quaid earlier this year told Esquire that the season is the most intense and is the best one that they have ever done. He said,
“It’s my favorite season we’ve ever shot. It’s a very intense season. Audiences are still going to be surprised and will be really into the direction that it takes. It’s our best one yet.”
It is going to be a pretty exciting season as the events of Gen V are also going to play into the narrative of the fourth season. The Boys season 4 will release on Amazon Prime in early 2024.
