As the date for The Game Awards 2023 hastily approaches, with it currently being set for December 7th, gamers are quickly taking to its website to issue their votes on the numerous categories that are available.
One of these categories that relies heavily on the players’ opinions is the Players’ Voice category, which is entirely dictated by the decisions made by the gaming community. At the moment, the voting has already commenced within this category and will have three rounds that the gaming community can take part in over the next few days.
What Games Are Available for Gamers to Vote for During The Game Awards 2023?
For many reasons, not all games have been selected for this category that gamers can vote between, as if it were left to an open discussion, then sadly, there would never be a clear winner as people would most likely select certain titles that may not be good but are funny to vote for, which isn’t in the spirit.
Thanks to this, The Game Awards 2023 have already predetermined what options players can choose from within this Players’ Voice category. Within this category, there are 30 different games that players can vote between and provide their insight into this difficult decision.
Within the Players’ Voice category, gamers will be able to place 10 votes each on a different game of their choice. After a few days, there will be a second round taking place that will allow players to vote with another 10 votes, meaning each game could be voted for at least once per person.
For those wondering what games are currently involved in this category, here are the titles that you can vote for:
- Alan Wake 2
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Hi-Fi Rush
- Apex Legends
- Counter Strike 2
- Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
- Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
- Destiny 2
- Diablo IV
- Final Fantasy XVI
- Fortnite
- Genshin Impact
- GTA Online
- Hogwarts Legacy
- Honkai: Star Rail
- League of Legends
- Lies of P
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Minecraft
- Mortal Kombat 1
- No Man’s Sky
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- Octopath Traveler II
- Resident Evil 4
- Star Wars: Jedi Survivor
- Starfield
- Street Fighter 6
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
- Valorant
- Warframe
All of these games are available for the gaming community to vote between, and each vote counts depending on what game players want to win at this year’s The Game Awards; however, only one game will win within this category.
Since this category relies on the player’s voices within the gaming community, this will heavily impact the results depending on who takes part in the voting and what games have the biggest fan bases, as certain titles already have a rather large fan base and would receive a lot of votes from their respective communities.
Even though many of the games that have been included within this category are rather major releases launched this year, there are still some games that have sadly been missed that many of the gaming community cannot vote on.
However, The Game Awards 2023 have provided the gaming community with numerous choices that deserve the award.
At the moment, we do not know what game will come out on top within this category, as there are many big names within the options that have received critical acclaim from the gaming community in 2023, but hopefully the game that receives the award will be one that most players can agree on.
