Alan Wake 2 is undeniably one of the most anticipated titles of 2023. The sequel to the beloved original, which was released all the way back in 2010, has been getting a lot of buzz recently as we get closer and closer to the release date. The next major announcement for the game will be at Gamescom 2023.
Gamescom is hosted by Geoff Keighley, one of the most respected figures in the industry. It’s not the first time that an Alan Wake 2 major announcement is being revealed at a show hosted by Keighley, as back in June of this year, at Summer Game Fest, Remedy revealed the gameplay trailer. Excitement is through the roof as fans are wondering what the reveal could be.
Alan Wake 2 Is Getting a Major Announcement, Geoff Keighley Confirms
In a post on Twitter (or X), Geoff Keighley confirmed that Alan Wake 2 will be getting a major announcement during Gamescom 2023. He also confirmed the exact stream time.

Keighley confirmed that the show will be hosted in Germany and will be streamed at 8 p.m. CEST on August 22. For those who can’t make it, the show will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch. The official Gamescom website also confirms that the show can be co-streamed, so you can watch the show with your favourite creators.
What Can We Expect from the Alan Wake 2 Announcement at Gamescom 2023?
We may be getting some juicy new details regarding the game’s story and characters this time around. Sam Luke, Creative Director and Writer of Alan Wake 2, confirmed in a post that we will be getting more insight into the struggle of our characters to leave the Dark Place.

The original Alan Wake was highly regarded as one of the best thriller video games when it was released, and its story was praised for its exceptional incorporation of supernatural elements. One of Alan Wake 2’s most anticipated features is its story, so fans have much to look forward to at Gamescom 2023.
Alan Wake 2 will release on October 17, 2023 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
