PlayStation owners have had access to this exclusive mission for nearly a year, but everyone else might be joining them shortly, if exclusivity deals are anything to go by.

Hogwarts Legacy was a delight for Potterheads worldwide, who got to experience the world of witchcraft and wizardry for themselves firsthand. The game was a commercial success enjoyed by fans who were not Harry Potter enthusiasts!

That is because it was set when Harry and the company were yet to make their way to the educational institution. However, one quest in the title was made exclusive for the PlayStation console lineup. The exclusivity agreement ends on February 10, meaning the quest should ideally be making its way to other platforms for which the title was released.

An exclusive quest in Hogwarts Legacy to now be enjoyable for everyone?

The RPG title was praised for its setting, player customization, and in-depth mechanics, which both Harry Potter die-hard fans and casual fans were primarily aware of but didn’t get to experience in any other title.

While the game was released for almost all relevant consoles, including the current-gen and previous-gen consoles, an exclusive quest called “Minding Your Own Business” was available solely for the PlayStation console lineup. This was a quest that was a horror-themed one. It saw the player’s character initially interacting with a she-elf and then talking to one Madam Mason to purchase a shop available for sale.

Then, one indulges in getting the shop up and running and makes repairs and changes related to its maintenance. The shop is present in Hogsmeade. As the player ventures into a room present in the shop’s backroom, they discover a trail of secrets.

After that, one discovers that it was all a setup and something exciting unfolds, and a boss battle occurs. About the quest’s release, it is being speculated that the quest should be made available to all of the platforms, apart from PlayStation, since it is already available on or after February 10, 2024. The date marks the title’s first anniversary, and the agreement between Sony and WB Interactive expires on that date

As one can guess by the description, the quest is not one to be missed out upon and is a wonderful and refreshing one so if it is released for other titles would most certainly be excellent. But again, one should ideally wait for the studio or the publisher to announce the addition before getting their hopes up.

Also, the chances of the quest being a paid DLC are astronomically low since it was available at launch for no extra cost for PlayStation gamers. Ideally, the same treatment will be given to other gamers. Fans loved Hogwarts Legacy at launch, but since a lot of time has elapsed, fans inevitably want some new content in the title. While a single new quest isn’t much and would most likely be one that can be finished in less than an hour, it is still something.

On the sequel front, Hogwarts Legacy 2 is in development, as per rumors, but once again, no confirmation has been provided by the game studio or the publisher. So, there might just be no official DLC (apart from the one extra quest), and the developers deem it fit to skip straight to the main course and start developing the sequel.

Also, the sequel for the title is almost imminent, given the first game’s commercial success. The game wasn’t received well among reviewers, who were not impressed with the title as a standalone RPG experience when detached from the Harry Potter setting; regardless, the game was a hit.

Unlike the first one, however, the chances of the title releasing to older consoles are more or less nil because the game will probably be more demanding graphically, apart from the additions in terms of mechanics and narrative. That is because graphical enhancement is the minimum offering expected from a AAA sequel. Hogwarts Legacy is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
