On movie sets, actors and crew often get immersed in a shared experience of creating something wonderful together. The experiences either lead to the creation of beautiful bonds or awkward situations among co-stars. A similar situation presented itself on the sets of Angelina Jolie‘s 2021 action thriller, Those Who Wish Me Dead, where her co-star was way too awe-struck to even approach the illustrious actress.

Medina Senghore, Jolie’s co-star, was the one who felt really awkward approaching the Eternals star. She said in an interview,

“The first day that she and I were on set at the same time, I was like, ‘Well, I’m not going to go over and say anything to her because if I do I’m going to babble and it’s going to be awkward and I’ll probably get banned from set.’”

However, she was left even more surprised after learning Jolie’s true nature.

“But she was so kind and generous and came over and spoke to me. And she’s just lovely and someone I admire not just for her work from afar, but for her humanitarian work and it’s great when you meet someone who you admire from afar and then they turn out to be just as incredible or more than you imagined.”

Angelina Jolie’s approachability and generosity shocked Senghore, who became an even bigger fan of the actress.

In the movie Those Who Wish Me Dead, Angelina Jolie plays a smoke jumper who finds herself protecting a young teen played by Finn Little. The young Australian felt very nervous to meet his co-star after having watched her movies.

“In the audition, when I was flown over to L.A., I felt like I was going to faint. I was so nervous. And then on the first day on set when I worked with her, I was nervous as well but then I just realized she’s a nice, normal person, and there’s no need to be afraid of her.”

Despite his initial nervousness, he too was surprised at how nice the Maleficent star was. In the industry where most are often found to be unapproachable, Angelina Jolie continues to defy such notions through her generous character and down-to-earth personality.
