Things haven’t been pretty between Brad Pitt and his kids since his ugly divorce from Angelina Jolie, as most of their children have reportedly cut contact with him. Pitt, who shares six kids, Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 18, Shiloh, 17, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 15, with ex-wife Jolie, is now seemingly desperate to bridge the gap between him and his estranged kids.
Despite having his kids writing him off of their lives, a source suggests the Seven star is still holding out hope for a possible reunification, but Jolie’s comments have allegedly made it hard for it to happen.
Brad Pitt Is Reportedly Holding Out Hope of Reconciling With His Kids
While he is reportedly allowed to visit the twins and Shiloh as a part of the custody agreement, this isn’t the case for his eldest children. Post Brad Pitt and Jolie’s alleged plane fight, the former’s relationship with his kids has reportedly become strained, especially with Moddox, who reportedly testified against Pitt.
Pax too has seemingly distanced himself from the Oscar winner after he made headlines for allegedly dubbing Pitt as a “terrible and despicable person”. In Zahara’s case, she removed her father’s surname while enrolling in the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College.
But despite his apparent strained bond with his children, Pitt is reportedly still hoping to reconcile his relationship with his eldest kids. Speaking to OK Magazine, an Insider claimed:
“They don’t speak to him anymore. It’s pretty awkward because their siblings have cut them out of their lives. But he’s holding out hope that they’ll eventually come around.”
The Insider further claimed Jolie’s constant remarks against Pitt in the media aren’t helping the Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood star’s case.
Insider Claims Angelina Jolie’s Jabs at Brad Pitt Isn’t Helping His Case
Things post-separation have been less than stellar between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who, not long ago, had a winery dispute. The source claimed Jolie’s constant jabs about Pitt haven’t sat well with the actor, who is reportedly anxious to move past this chapter of his life and reunite with his eldest kids. The source alleged:
While Pitt is “anxious to move on and put the past behind him,” Jolie is still “making jabs at him in the press, constantly talking about how she’s spent years healing from the pain he caused the family.”
It can’t be said for sure if Pitt’s eldest kids, who have seemingly written him off of their lives, will be open to reconciling their bond or not, who remains close to Angelina Jolie.
