The lackluster release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has shaken trust in Rocksteady, known for its successful work on the Arkham series. One of the main reasons for the game’s poor sales is its live service concept, which is considered a curse in the gaming world, leading people to quickly lose interest and go away. That said, the Season 1 content released recently has also faced criticism. Angry Joe thinks so, too.
The game’s commitment to live service and subsequent failure do not appear salvageable. For some fans, the Season 1 content seemed like a promising salvation for the title, especially with the Joker coming as a playable character. However, judging by the reactions of industry figures like AngryJoeShow, things are not going well here either.
Angry Joe Heavily Criticizes Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 1
Rocksteady’s probable final hope for Kill the Justice League Season 1 kicked off on March 28th. With the addition of Joker as a playable character, new shop items, new infamy sets, and notorious gear initially sparked hope. Sadly, the bumpy ride continued and ultimately fell short of expectations.
Well, one of the people who tried the new addition was AngryJoeShow. He disliked the content so much that he promptly went to Twitter and criticized the developer so harshly. Joe amplified his criticism and described the work as low-effort garbage.

Joe’s post went viral, and many people responded with their own experiences, all echoing the sentiment that the new content is woefully insufficient. This further tarnishes the image of the already struggling game. We all think the developer needs to learn a lesson from this situation.
What Didn’t the Game Achieve?
The game’s failure in sales should not be attributed solely to the live service concept. Because the main story of the production alienated the players from itself at some points. Without giving away too many spoilers, this is a game where we kill superheroes that Brainiac has brainwashed. So, it’s about players killing their favorite superheroes with supervillains.
The real problem here is not that we kill the superheroes we love, but the way we kill them. To give an example, at one point in the story, Harley Quinn grabs her gun, makes a few sarcastic remarks, and kills the Dark Knight by shooting him in the head. Yes, this was a truly weak and ignoble ending for the Dark Knight. In addition to the Bat, heroes such as Flash, Green Lantern, and Superman are among the Justice League members killed.
Not only that, but many superheroes also had weak endings that would attract reactions, and this really caused fans to stay distant from the game. Finally, the Joker move that arrived with the new content seems to have failed to achieve its purpose. Well, we will see if the developer releases new content in the future.
