As the anime’s fans were just getting over the first season, the creators and Crunchyroll have already announced the second season of Solo Leveling, which according to the plot is going to be even better than the first season. The first season only offered a glimpse at what Sung Jinwoo, the protagonist of the series is capable of.

The anime series has not announced the official date or any kind of release window of the series, but it has revealed the title of the second season, getting fans ready for even more adventures through the perspective of Sung Jinwoo. Not only that, the second season will showcase the newly introduced power of the Monarch of Shadows.

Solo Leveling Second Season Announced by Crunchyroll

The official Solo Leveling account revealed the news of the second season of the show after Solo Leveling Episode 12, “Arise,” was released. Crunchyroll unveiled the first teaser trailer for the upcoming anime debut, titled “Arise from the Shadow,” after seeing the show’s immense success and popularity. 

Solo Leveling’s first season ran for 12 episodes from January 7 to March 30. The second season is likewise anticipated to run for around the same amount of time. If the manhwa timeline is to be followed, the second season will begin with the Red Gate Arc, much as the first season concluded with the Job Change arc.

While the teaser trailer for the second season of the series mostly featured the events of the first season, the final few seconds of the video showed Sung Jinwoo in a new attire and a different appearance which has excited the Solo Leveling fans even more.

The second season of Solo Leveling is going to introduce some new characters to the story and even bring back the prominent old characters too. Although the announcement for the second season has not revealed any release date or window for the series, the second season is expected to be released during the first half of 2025. The second season will focus on Sung Jinwoo growing even stronger than he is now, along with finding out more about the System and The Monarch of the Shadows

This is great news for anime fans as they won’t have to wait too long for the second season of Solo Leveling, however, as the timeline has not been officially confirmed, there is a chance that the second season will get delayed because of the busy schedule of A-1 Pictures.
