The movie was deemed a masterpiece, and Hathaway and Hudson’s chemistry was a gem to watch. But just as it goes in Hollywood, their off-screen relationship was surrounded by rumors, with reports claiming that all was not well on the set of Bride Wars. While the two stars haven’t confirmed or denied these rumors, it is shocking if they were true.

Bride Wars is a gem of a movie with ridiculous comedy based on wedding shenanigans. The rom-com is based on two childhood best friends, who by accident have their wedding date scheduled on the same day on the same date. And therein begins a war between the two best friends whose wedding styles could not have been more different.
And just like the movie itself, there were speculations of a feud between Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson on the set of Bride Wars. The actresses were reported to hate each other since they had a very different approach to acting. This coupled with the industrial pressure, long schedules, and creative differences led to strings of reports that they reportedly hated working with each other.
Amidst all these speculation and reports, things took an even worse turn when it was reported that Hudson had punched The Princess Diaries actress.
Kate Hudson Punched Anne Hathaway On The Set Of Bride Wars
Conflicts and fights are infamous in Hollywood among actors, more specifically male actors. Hence when reports of Kate Hudson punching Anne Hathaway arose, they added more to the cloud of tension already surrounding the set of their $115 million movie. However, the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star confirmed that it was just an accident.
“We were really tired, and I had this big rock on my finger. … I whacked Annie in the face so hard. She was like: No, no, keep going because she was so into it … Two hours later, she’s sitting in the back of a car with an ice pack on her face. I was so bad. I really clocked her.”
With all those rumors and speculations, everything was cleared off since Hudson’s confirmation. And reports of feuds were also dismissed as the two went on to give multiple interviews with each other for the movie, which clearly showed how much they respected and loved each other.
So, when it comes to Hollywood, it is better not to believe it all.
