As a result, phase 4 of MCU was a massive disappointment among the MCU fans, calling out Kevin Feige for his poor decisions.
In order to redeem the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Kevin Feige has taken some serious steps, and he has decided to return to Fantastic Four, one of the most popular properties of the franchise. The reboot is expected to be released in 2025, and before the film could even reveal the casting choices for Sue Storm and The Thing in the new movie; fans are criticizing the film for its rumored choices on Twitter.
Marvel Fans Criticise Fantastic Four’s Casting Choices
The new Fantastic Four movie is still two years away from release and will be directed by Matt Shakman. The director of the film has an important responsibility on his shoulder, as he has to cast the perfect actors for the roles. While the movie has not announced its cast, however, rumor has it that Adam Driver will play Reed Richards, Paul Mescal as Johnny Storm, Margot Robbie as Sue Storm, and Daveed Diggs as The Thing.
While some fans believe that the Wolf of Wall Street actress is the perfect choice to play the role of Sue Storm in the movie, many others are criticizing the decision for the possible casting of Margot Robbie instead of Jessica Alba in the new movie.

Another fan believes that Margot Robbie will be a bad choice for the role, and from the rumored cast, only Daveed Diggs is a suitable member to play his respective role.
Daveed Diggs is the only one here that I think should play his respective role. Maybe Margot but her notoriety is just too overbearing. Same with Adam Driver, he’s just gonna be Adam Driver in a F4 suit. I don’t see Johnny Storm AT ALL in Paul Mescal.

Another Marvel fan believes that Margot Robbie in the MCU is a forced addition to the franchise because back in the day the franchise preferred having celebrities who were not very renowned and gave examples of actors like Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., and many more.

Another fan believes that Robbie is the wrong choice for Sue Storm because she is now overexposed, which would more or less affect her acting in the film. However, they believe that the other three possible choices are right for the film.
I can see Adam & Daveed. Paul is an unknown to me. I fear Margot is being overexposed now. Mary Queen of Scots & Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Suicide Squad 1 & 2 + Birds of Prey, Babylon + Barbie and now potentially a multi-movie role as Sue.

While fans are criticizing the rumored cast, is the criticism justified? Just because the actors have a bankable fan following and have played some major roles in their careers, having played similar roles, will it help them in playing their roles in the upcoming movies?
When Will Marvel Announce The Cast For Fantastic Four?
While the names are not confirmed by Matt Shakman or Marvel itself, numerous celebrities are linked with the franchise, but Adam Driver and Margot Robbie are potential candidates to play their respective roles. Several rumors have been circulating around the internet stating that Paul Mescal had passed the role of Johnny Storm, but Robbie and Driver are a possibility because they are two of the hottest celebrities in the industry at the present moment, and their following would immensely aid the film in the Box Office.
While these are just rumors, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe have to wait for quite some time as the film is set to start filming on January 2024. The franchise would probably reveal the cast for Fantastic Four later this year and during a huge event. Perhaps the San Diego Comic-Con that will be held in July 2023 will be the event revealing the cast of Fantastic Four.
Fantastic Four will release in theatres on 14th February 2025.
