Fans are surely missing Chris Evans in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the legacy must continue with Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson as the new Captain America. Of course, someone has to take his place as Falcon and that job will be assumed by Danny Ramirez’s Joaquín Torres, whom fans have already met in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
It’s already a known fact that Wilson will replace Steve Rogers in the MCU sooner or later, but there were still doubts about Mackie’s performance and ability to live up to the expectation. He has a big shoe to fill in, and we’ll only see how well he fares once the movie comes out.

The actor showered him with praises, complimenting how he brings so much flavor and energy into his version of the Falcon.
On the other hand, Ramirez admitted he is taking his role as Falcon very seriously, though the most exciting part of it all was wearing the iconic suit. Captain America: Brave New World unveiled the first look of Falcon’s suit with a green color scheme and silver and brown accents.

At this point, the promotional materials are already showcasing Ramirez as the next big thing, staying true to Mackie’s words that he is indeed the real breakout actor of the year. He also sounds quite confident about his role as the new Captain America, which indicates that he’s utterly satisfied with his performance in the movie.
If that’s the case then fans can rest easy and finally cast their doubts aside about Mackie taking on the iconic mantle. He’s proven himself enough that he belongs in this world of heroes after his numerous stints in the Avengers films and in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
Anthony Mackie Remembers His Time As MCU’s Falcon
Mackie could not help but be nostalgic about seeing Falcon being portrayed by a new actor. He mentioned in his interview with Hollywood Insider how excited he is to see the veteran stars show what they’ve got, but he’s more ecstatic to witness how Ramirez would interpret his part.
The 45-year-old star remembered “being in that role and being in that position” when Chris Evans was Captain America. Now, he has passed on the baton, which means Falcon is now a legacy character.
Fans will be anticipating the Top Gun: Maverick actor’s performance in the movie especially after Mackie’s positive words about him.
