So it was a little harder for me”
Glen Powell had been in a relationship with Gigi Paris for three years before they eventually split in 2023. Despite speculation suggesting that rumors about Sydney Sweeney played a role in their breakup, the truth was that the couple had actually ended things seven months before the promotional tour began.
However, the belief still persisted among many that Powell’s friendship with Sweeney during the filming of the movie contributed to the end of his relationship. Suspicion intensified as Paris posted cryptic Instagram captions hinting at a bitter end to their romance (via Glamour).

On the other hand Sydney Sweeney, unlike Powell, faced no repercussions. Engaged to Jonathan Davino since 2022, their relationship can be estimated to have started in 2018.
Hailing from Chicago, Jonathan Davino, a 40-year-old entrepreneur, keeps a low profile. The Euphoria actor, for the most part, also prefers to keep her relationship out of the spotlight.
Turns out, Sweeney’s fiancé, Jonathan Davino, co-produced the movie with her. Moreover, he was also actively involved throughout the production, and the couple remains together, stronger than ever.
During her hosting of SNL, Sweeney addressed the rumors cleverly, attempting to dispel the notion that she and co-star Glen Powell were romantically involved. She cleared the air by stating,
“And I just want to let everyone know that he’s the man of my dreams[her fiancé], and we’re still together and stronger than ever–He even came here tonight to support me. Can we cut to him?”
When she gestured for the camera to show her real-life fiancé, it hilariously focused on Powell, who was in the audience. She quickly quips that her fiancé is actually in the dressing room.
The unfolding of events was nothing short of brilliant, as the film raked in $216 million against a $25 million budget, now holding the title of the highest-grossing Shakespeare adaptation. Garnering an impressive 87% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it proved to be a delightful and fun watch.
