Epic Games keeps sending out surveys to Fortnite players for feedback and how it can improve the game, making the experience more good for the players. The surveys have several questions that need to be answered and then the developers act based on feedback and improve the game. Usually, the surveys are answered and forgotten by players, the recent survey has embroidered in controversy as players think it might see Epic Games monetize building pieces in the game.

A renowned Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey shared a question from the latest survey on X/Twitter which was sent out to get feedback about game mechanics and other things in sandbox games. asking players about the game mechanics they have experienced in a “sandbox game” with several options including “Cosmetics that you can earn in-game” and “Quests you must do in a certain linear order.”

However, one possible answer that stood out for the players was “Building and building pieces you can purchase in-game” and while Epic Games is only asking players if they have come across something like this in a game, players have already assumed that it is planning to sell buildings or building pieces for LEGO Fortnite in the item shop.

It can be said for certain that this is what Epic Games is planning, players are disappointed with Epic and they are blaming the company for trying to ruin the game. However, there are chances that they could be true since the survey was only sent to LEGO Fortnite players and LEGO has its products so it wouldn’t be too fetched to some buildings being sold in the item shop but it might not be good for the future of the game.

The survey does not confirm anything but players are understandably upset about it.

Players reacted to this in the comments of the post expressing how they are upset and against it. A user said that “selling building pieces in a video game is outrageous.” Another user added that it would be “crazy bad” for the game with many adding that if the company wants to sell LEGO, it should consider real Fortnite LEGO sets and they would happily buy it.

Players also added that while players in-game are fed with bugs, lags, and build limits, Epic Games is looking to sell building pieces. A player also added that it is a terrible idea and Epic Games should refrain from it. However, if it does happen, it wouldn’t affect players in rankings but players might feel left out if they can’t afford to see everything as things will be locked behind the marketplace and if they could pay, they might feel forced and it wouldn’t be good for the game.
