Helldivers 2 is a breath of fresh air for the live service game space and Arrowhead Game Studios is doing everything to improve the game. The studio is undergoing a transition for new leadership and Pilestedt’s successor understands the pressure and implores fans to be patient.
Running a game studio in a cut-throat business was never going to be easy and Shams Jorjani knew it the moment he took over for Johan Pilestedt. The gaming community has high expectations for the developers and it is easy to forget that these creatives are people too.

The new head of the game studio is determined to put the company on the right track business-wise while Johan Pilestedt can focus on the gaming side. Sharing the load of responsibility is the best decision the company has come up with especially when Shams Jorjani is not as skilled as many would hope in Helldivers 2 which will discourage him from playing and focusing on improving the studio.

Jorjani expressed dissatisfaction with how quickly the gaming community turns on the game developers when certain answers to questions are not given. These developers have their reasons as to why they choose to keep certain information to themselves and will only share it on their terms with the hopes of impressing the community.
The problem with game development is that not everything will always be set in stone. Perhaps the developers could release a road map for the foreseeable future but not everything in it is guaranteed to see the light of day. It is hard to make promises when some other variables and factors could affect the ideal outcome which is why Jorjani would prefer to keep sensitive information close to the chest.
The Helldivers 2 Community Needs to Bear with the Developers
It can be frustrating to play a game with so much potential but be dragged down by external issues like the recent controversy that Sony caused and put the developers between a rock and a hard place. The studio is slowly recovering from the damage and the community needs to be patient and have faith that the developers will deliver.
The former head had a great track record of handling public relations like when Pilestedt had to step in and intervene after how several employees were behaving in an unprofessional manner towards the player base. The game director will not stand for that kind of demeanor and rectified the situation accordingly.
Jorjani and Pilestedt are two remarkable individuals, each thriving in their unique domains. Despite their different areas of expertise, both individuals have made a remarkable impact in their respective fields.
Pilestedt can focus on improving the game while interacting with the gaming community and take suggestions and ideas for new game content like mission types and new stratagems while Jorjani will exert his effort to keep the business on the right track.
