What has this leaked footage shown us in regard to Assassin’s Creed Jade?

An Assassin's Creed mobile game is a fascinating concept.
An Assassin’s Creed mobile game is a fascinating concept.

Since the footage has now been removed, it is very difficult to track down the original full 2-hour video which was available showing footage of gameplay and story, but from what we can see is that Assassin’s Creed Jade is a mobile-only game and will have a male protagonist who uses a polearm as their primary weapon. From some of the footage that has been leaked, we are able to see a small encounter that the player will take part in, which has a surprising cameo from Assassin Creed Odysseys main character Kassandra as they are freeing a village from invaders, which shows us some of the combat involved in the game as well.

From what we have seen, the combat is highly similar to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as the player will have to slowly damage an enemy to lower their health bar with numerous damage figures popping out, which is something many fans are not happy about as they would prefer the franchise to go back to its routes. There will also be some special skills that players will be able to activate throughout the combat encounters, which will take time to charge up, but there is still the opportunity to assassinate enemies rather than fighting them for those looking to stealth through the game the way it’s intended.
