Since Modern Warfare 2 is considered the best game in the franchise, many gamers have spent countless hours playing through the multiplayer maps that were available at the time, and now that Modern Warfare 3 is under development, the developers decided to remaster the classic maps from Modern Warfare 2 by working on visual clarity and Fidelity.

Whilst working on the remaster for these maps, the primary goal of the development team was to ensure that both old and new players would be pleased by these changes as they didn’t want to entirely change the maps. Still, they at least wanted to ensure that certain areas of the map were more visible, certain areas could be climbable, and just in general adjusting the map in general to give it a fresher look.

All of these maps have been remastered to please both old and new players.

Over the years, Call Of Duty has been gaining a large community that enjoys these maps and would hate to see them changed, but if these maps are changed for the better, it will most likely help to create an influx of older players back into the franchise as from has been shown during a small clip on the Call Of Duty official Twitter/X account they really have taken care and consideration when remastering these maps.

During this short video, we can see some of the changes and graphical updates that have been made to these maps, which give players more opportunities than ever before, as some maps have been extended to have more locations, or some have been changed to avoid players hiding within the scenery which is something many fans of the series will be glad to hear.

Along with these remastered maps, there will also be six new maps that will be a part of the six-VS-six multiplayer mode that will release over the game’s first two seasons, giving players a whole unique experience whether your an old or new player, as well as the narrative-driven war mode which will be returning as well giving players a larger and more story-driven experience to take part in.
