The news about how she and her husband Will Smith have been separated, although not on legal terms, since 2016 has blown up the internet sky-high. But when one looks clearly at Alsina from the past, they may figure out that he had already hinted this to the world during an interview in the past.

In a past episode of The Quite Frankly Show, the Benediction singer talked about his life and the relationships that he has maintained in the past. He opened up about how he maintained his relationship with the Queen Cleopatra actress throughout the years, even claiming that Will Smith actually knew about this. He also hinted for a moment that they were both living split-up unlike a couple at that time, which was around 2015-16, the year the actress claimed they split. He said:
“I actually sat down with Will and had a conversation due to the transformation from marraige to life partnership they’ve spoke of several times, and, you know, not involving romanticism.”
Life partnership was similar words used by Pinkett Smith in many of her recent interviews where she revealed that she and the I Am Legend star have been separated.

How Did Their Entanglement Happen?
To know how this whole fisaco happened, we would have to travel all the way back to the mid-2010s when Pinkett Smith first met Alsina. During the 2015 Wireless Festival in London, the actress was attending the event as her children Jaden and Willow Smith were performing on-stage. Alsina, who’s her son’s best friend was introduced to her in that event.
Since then, they have also been seen walking together and attending the 2017 BET Awards, where the true rumors about their fling started to catch steam. And in 2020, Pinkett Smith finally admitted her entanglement with the rapper.
