Avengers 5 or Avengers: The Kang Dynasty has now become one of the most controversial movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Jonathan Majors found guilty of two charges of assault, the actor has been fired from the MCU. That leads to an obvious question: What about Kang the Conqueror?

Well, there are several theories as to how Kang can be recast or replaced. One of the theories states that Kang the Conqueror can easily be replaced by Doctor Doom. This theory is quite a logical one since the premise perfectly sets up Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars perfectly!

How The MCU Can Replace Jonathan Majors’ Kang With Doctor Doom!

There have already been numerous theories about how Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror could say farewell to the MCU. Although the character would have to be taken away in a pretty violent way, most of the theories do not seem to make much sense.

And from the remains of these dead theories, emerged a golden theory that is both logical and will be awesome to watch! According to this theory, the MCU could easily replace Jonathan Majors’ Kang with Doctor Doom. With the villain shift, this theory also explains the premise of Avengers: Secret Wars which is set after the events of Avengers 5.

As per the theory, different variants of Kang come from across the universe to conquer Earth-616 (where our heroes are). With the Avengers teaming up against Kang, the villain is defeated and Earth is saved. Amidst the chaos, however, Doctor Doom (who is the primary antagonist of the Fantastic Four) survives. With his power, Doctor Doom takes control of the world. In this way, the theory could easily explain Doctor Doom as the big bad villain for Avengers 5.

With Doctor Doom in charge of the world,  a collision of two universes happens. As per the comics, the Earth-616 Universe and the Ultimate Marvel 1610 Universe collide. This results in the damage and destruction of both the universes with a make-shift planet surviving. This planet would be remembered as “Battleworld”.

Doctor Doom transports all the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and several others onto this planet, and against the mighty heroes are villains like Galactus, Ultron, and others. This Battleworld perfectly sets up the premise of Avengers: Secret Wars and it would be a perfect end for Phase 6 of the MCU with the two great universes colliding and one side emerging victorious. Avengers: Secret Wars is set for a release date of 7 May 2027 so there’s plenty of time to introduce all the necessary characters!
