The Phase 6 ending will witness multiverses getting torn apart, similar to the 2015 comic book event of the same name as the 2026 movie. This will not only conclude Phase 6 but also pave the way for the sixth Avengers film.

Will Scarlet Witch Rule The Multiverse After Defeating Kang

If fan theories are anything to go by, Scarlet Witch will have a huge role to play in Avengers: Secret Wars. One interesting fan theory suggests how all Avengers will come together to defeat Kang the Conquerer, but Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch will have a big part in defeating the supervillain.

So, the fan theory suggests that in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the Council of Kangs will attempt to take out Earth’s Avengers to make sure their universe is destroyed during an impending incursion. Later, Kang joins Earth-616’s heroes to take down the council but reveals his grand plans to destroy the multiverse, making Earth-616 the new sacred timeline under his rule. Despite the Avengers detaining Kang, the incursion continues to inch closer.

In Avengers: Secret Wars, Doctor Strange brings together the Illuminati of Earth-616 to stop the incursions without affecting other universes. The group tries to find solutions, but as time runs out, they consider destroying Earth-838, seeking Kang’s help. Kang suggests looking for Scarlet Witch, who is capable of altering reality.

While the Avengers look for her, Earth-838’s X-Men and Brotherhood of Mutants, led by Magneto, come to Earth-616 with the aim of taking on the Avengers and Fantastic Four to save their universe. Meanwhile, Kang manages to seize the Scarlet Witch’s power to create Battleworld, revealing his intention to create a reality under his rule.

Then, in Avengers Forever (Secret Wars part II), a new multiverse team, led by Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, and RDJ’s Iron Man, comes together to take on Kang and revive the multiverse. Brainwashed by Kang, Doctor Strange makes a huge sacrifice to ensure Kang’s defeat, while Scarlet Witch rebuilds the multiverse, and later rules it as predicted in DS:MoM.

Olsen told The Times:

“I’m trying to figure out… Because, specifically in the last four years, my output has been Marvel. I don’t want… it’s not that I don’t want to be associated as just this character. But I really feel like I need to be building other parts back up for balance.”

The actress believes that her career won’t thrive if she’s associated with only one character. Despite uncertainties about Scarlet Witch’s future in the franchise, Olsen expects her character to return.
