The project is all set to be helmed by the Holy Spider director Ali Abbasi. He was also the brains behind the final two episodes of Max’s The Last of Us. Abbasi is going to be working on a script by Gabriel Sherman who wrote the biography of Fox News founder Roger Ailes, The Loudest Voice in the Room. It also went on to be a Showtime miniseries in 2019 starring Russell Crowe.
However, it must be noted that Donald Trump’s controversial reputation has raised many fans to question the casting of Sebastian Stan for the role. Many claim that Sebastian Stan is too good-looking for the role of someone so controversial. Alongside Stan, the movie is also reported to star Jeremy Strong as attorney Roy Cohn and Maria Bakalova as Trump’s first wife, Ivana.
