Rockstar Games is one of the largest video game publishers in the world. The number of video games that they make is much less than other video game publishers. But the effort that they put into their games is enough to make them iconic. Their last top release was Red Dead Redemption 2. The game was so popular that people are still playing this game in 2023.

But a piece of recent news has left the gaming community baffled. One of the leading figures behind the masterpieces of Rockstar Games has left the Company. It may sound fake, but every part of it is true. After several years of service, the genius Michael Unsworth has left the Company after giving the fans some legendary video games.

Michael Unsworth is the former Vice President of Writing for Rockstar Games. Fans might get offended by seeing the word ‘former’. But it is what it is. Michael Unsworth is no longer an executive of the gaming publisher. After serving the Company for 16 years, he finally decided that it was time to leave the job. He has left a legacy at the Rockstar Games.

His LinkedIn profile confirmed the fact about his leaving Rockstar Games. But neither side has given any reason for this sudden change. It was his pen that wrote these games, which went on to become all-time greats. Fans are left heartbroken by this news. But their sorrow does not end there. Michael Unsworth is not the only executive of Rockstar Games who has left the company; there are others, too.

What Is Next For Rockstar?

Rockstar Games is currently working on Grand Theft Auto 6 and Red Dead Redemption 3. These are much-awaited games after the last games of the respective franchises were a massive hit. But the original screenwriter for these games has left. So, it will be difficult for the gaming studio to bring back the same charm to these games.

Not only Michael Unsworth but important figures like Dan Houser, Lazlow Jones, and Leslie Benzies have also left. It is now up to the game publisher to deal with these upcoming projects.
