Team Folon, the developer of the most ambitious and upcoming expansion for Bethesda’s Fallout 4 called Fallout: London, has announced that Baldur’s Gate 3‘s award-winning voice actor Neil Newbon has joined the cast of the mod and will be playing an announced role.
The expansion was announced back in 2021 and has been a hot topic in the game community. The expansion is fast approaching its release, and Neil Newbon’s reveal of joining the cast has everyone buzzing about the expansion and what it could have in store for the fans.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Actor Neil Newbon Joins Fallout: London
Developer Team Folon released its latest update video detailing Fallout: London‘s progress as it nears its release date of April 23, 2024. The video showed some gameplay footage and also revealed the voice actors who will appear in the game, and one of them is Neil Newbon, who played the role of beloved vampire Astarion in 2023’s Game of the Year winning title Baldur’s Gate 3.
Newbon’s character briefly appears in the video update, but the developer team did not share any details on the characters that Newbon will be playing, such as the character’s name, faction, or significance in the story.
However, Newbon is an actor whose reputation precedes him, and his character has to be quite central to the expansion if he’s brought in. Neil Newbon recently won the Game Award for Best Performance at the Game Awards 2023 for his performance in BG3, but that’s not all he is known for.
Newbon has also voiced characters in other popular games such as Final Fantasy 16, Resident Evil Village, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Resident Evil 3, Detroit: Become Human, Hollyoaks, and more.
Fallout: London Is Shaping Up to Be the Best Expansion
Apart from Newbon, some other known actors are also joining the expansion’s cast, including Anna Demtriou, who voiced Sophia in A Plague Tale: Requiem, and Dorys in Final Fantasy 16. No details about her character have also been revealed. Renowned YouTuber Call Me Kevin is also one of the new voice actors to join the cast.
Team Folon also said that more actors are joining the cast of the mod, and the developer is going to “hold in store” for players. Fallout: London is a game-sized mod that brings the apocalypse to the British capital, as the name suggests. It is developed in the game’s engine and is said to be as big as the game’s Commonwealth area.
The game is set between the original two titles in the franchise and 50 years before the fourth game and has a new story, setting, and factions. Players are said to find everything from “stuffy parliamentary aristocrats to the resurrection of the Knights of the Round Table.” It will also have vaults, which are different from the vanilla game, and much more that players will find on April 23.
