If you haven’t had the chance to play Baldur’s Gate 3, now is the perfect opportunity, as according to a recent Steam events news blog, there could be new content coming to the game that gamers have been begging for.
Sadly, the content in question isn’t any form of DLC or additional locations, but it will be new evil endings that players can acquire depending on the choices they make within their playthroughs.
New Evil Endings Will Be Coming to Baldur’s Gate 3, and They Look Horrifying
One of the best features of Baldur’s Gate 3 was the ability to play the entire game however you liked. Whether you were looking to be a hero who saves the world or a villain who takes it over, you had the opportunity to choose whatever you liked and do what you wanted.
This is one of the main reasons that Baldur’s Gate 3 has been nominated for all kinds of awards, like the Game of the Year award in 2023, which it won, and many more. Since Baldur’s Gate 3 has been so successful, an announcement was made in a news blog on Steam, which began by thanking the gaming community for its love of both the game and its development team, before ending with this interesting news.
So far, we do not know a lot of information regarding these new endings except what has been teased in the recent news blog. For example, only two small clips were shared in the post that teases two of the new endings that will be coming within this update.
One of these endings looks to allow the player to take control of the minds of the many characters we meet along our adventures, while the other shows our character walking through what can only be described as a lake of blood and viscera as an eclipsed blood moon shines bright. It is safe to say that both of these endings have no chill and look incredibly scary.
Evil Endings Aren’t the Only Things Coming in This New Update
Along with these new evil endings, a new set of cutscenes will be coming to the game to suit these endings, and with every cutscene will be a new set of background music. Within this news blog, gamers can get a small glimpse at the upcoming music that will be coming to the game.
Another part of this update will be a large set of bug fixes that players have been begging for. Whether they are big or small, they will hopefully be fixed with this new update.
Finally, one of the most important teases from this news blog is the confirmation that Larian Studios is currently working on two new IPs as it moves away from Baldur’s Gate 3, even after its major success.
