A long since cancelled game was discovered regarding Christopher Nolan’s Batman; this title was being developed by Monolith before Arkham and Shadow of Mordor.

Project Apollo is the code name of this canceled Batman game. This title would have featured a lot of gadgets, stealth, and progression with unlockable new items. Monolith, the creator of Shadow of Mordor, was developing this game.

This open-world game looks like it would have been set in the Christopher Nolan Batman universe and it reportedly included the Nemesis System that eventually debuted in Shadow of Mordor.

For the first time, video footage for this game has surfaced. WB Games decided to launch Arkham Asylum instead of this title. The footage shows very detailed gameplay, but not at all what players would have received. The Batman Arkham Trilogy is probably one of the best trilogies ever made. Project Apollo wouldn’t have been such a good game. The key element that would make this game a success is the Nemesis System, which makes enemies remember you after one encounter.

This Batman title almost looks like a PS2 game, but it was in the early stages of development, so the final result would have been different and more appealing. The gadgets and mechanics of the game were the most important, and stealth with the use of smoke grenades would also be part of the gameplay.

I'm a big fan of movies and videogames in general. I really love Pokémon and Godzilla. One of my favorite games is The Last of Us, Part II. A compelling and well-written story is always welcome.
