Season 1 of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one of the first truly significant gaming failures of the year. Rocksteady was behind this project; the studio that made the Arkham franchise. The game has still not hit the sales figures that WB Games expected it to, but Rocksteady is still working on putting out more content for the title.
In a recent post on X, the popular YouTuber Angry Joe put out a Tweet regarding the maintenance that the Rocksteady game was going through. He referred to the post mentioning that WB Games was making delusional statements about how well this first season has been received and with regard to how many players they claim are still enjoying this title.
WB is being too optimistic about the number of active players, Angry Joe will not accept this
WB Games and Rocksteady did not have the best launch with SSKJL; many media outlets did not even receive the game for review prior to release. This was done to avoid any negativity regarding the title before it was officially launched, in what seems like a pretty desperate measure.
This is not the first time that Angry Joe has voiced his outrage at the lack of quality in SSKJL. The YouTuber Angry Joe addressed the last PR message from WB Games that talked about the state of the game, but the funniest thing is that this message said things like “many players” and “plenty of new content.”
Indeed, a true masterclass in delusional corporate bullshit. 🤦♂️ pic.twitter.com/Zl8fgxytCi

WB Games is really trying to make it seem like nothing went wrong with the title; some users have registered that the game about Task Force X reached less than 300 players on Steam at a certain point, a very low and discouraging number.
What can Rocksteady Games do to save Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?
Other users responded to the Angry Joe post on X, making fun of the corporate talk and saying that this kind of thing happens all the time in games that have no active players. SSKJL is not the exception, but there were cases in the past where titles rose from the ashes of a bad beginning.
WB Games and Rocksteady have confirmed that SSKJL has a lot of content planned, including new seasons, new playable characters, and more stories to be introduced in future updates. So the studio has a little hope of making players come back to this action title.
