Battleworld in MCU- Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman's Deadpool 3 Has a Crucial Connection With Avengers: Secret Wars and Doctor Stranger 3

It seems that Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool isn’t just there to cause chaos and mayhem in the MCU. Starring alongside Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the upcoming Deadpool 3 film, Reynolds and Jackman have a much bigger role to play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe than what was assumed before.

From reports and speculations, Deadpool 3 will be a movie filled with characters from the MCU. With the introduction of the X-Men in the franchise, the multiversal saga and events in the film will eventually form the basis of Avengers: Secret Wars and that’s the beauty and brilliance of the MCU.

Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool 3 Is Much Bigger Than Anticipated

Phase 5 of the MCU has indeed been better than the remnants of Phase 4. With better projects and a more coherent story at work, a feeling of impending doom is heavy in every project that the MCU has established so far.

The only character who doesn’t seem to care or be connected to the events of the universe is Deadpool. Without a care in the world, the character has appeared in two movies so far and managed to carry out his personal vendettas while finding a family that he can call home. In the third part of the iconic franchise, however, things will be very different.

With the inclusion of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, it has been reported that Deadpool 3 will also feature a planet called Battleworld. According to the comics, Battleworld is a planet controlled by the TVA (the same one from Loki) which is populating the planet with selected superheroes from collapsing realities. With Doctor Strange breaking all hell loose in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the timeline of Battleworld has kickstarted into motion and will be seen in Deadpool 3.

And to put the cherry on top, it has been reported that Doctor Strange’s variants would be the primary reason for the collapse of multiple realities leading to the creation of Battleworld. Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool will surely visit this planet (probably with Wolverine) and the events that happen, will pave the way for Avengers: Secret Wars. Thus, Deadpool 3 is more important for the MCU than what the people thought.

Alongside the council of Kangs who are the major villain/s in the MCU, there is another threat that seems to be quite powerful and destructive in nature. Fans have seen the powers of Doctor Strange grow higher and higher ever since his introduction. As per a report, it seems that the Doctor is also one of the major threats to Marvel’s Multiversal chaos.

As per the report, the character is the only character common in all of the multiverses. Since he essentially starts the chain reaction leading up to the collapse of multiple realities, fans speculate that Stephen Strange is a threat to himself and to other realities as seen in Marvel’s What If…? With numerous ideologies and Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool in the mix, the MCU is surely going to be facing a lot of chaos in its hands. As of now, these remain rumors and speculations and nothing can be confirmed or denied yet.

Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool 3 is set for a release date of 3rd May 2024 in the U.S.
