Jeff Beck Saved the Iconic Led Zeppelin Song
Back in the 1970s, Led Zeppelin began its journey towards success when Jimmy Page started crafting the iconic and evergreen song Stairway to Heaven. With almost eight minutes of intricate melodies, poetic lyricism, and dynamic instrumental prowess, the song was released in 1971 as part of Led Zeppelin IV.
Composed by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant, Stairway to Heaven turned into an anthem for listeners, and even today, the song resonates with people of this generation. But it took a great deal of effort and instrumental brilliance to compose this masterpiece. Instead of relying on just one guitar, Page apparently played the segments on a six-string acoustic, twelve-string, and six-string electric.
But among all the instruments, the one that stood out was the Fender Telecaster, a gift from Jimmy Page’s former Yardbirds bandmate Jeff Beck. As per Far Out Magazine, the Telecaster served as his primary guitar on the first Led Zeppelin album and marked its last prominent feature in a Led Zeppelin song.
Jeff Beck Helped Johnny Depp After His Trial

Further, Beck is not only known for his help towards Jimmy Page but also towards the famous Hollywood A-lister Johnny Depp. As per EW, after emerging victorious in his lawsuit against Amber Heard, Depp revived his musical career with Beck’s help.
“I’m gonna take this opportunity and tell you I met this guy five years ago, and we’ve never stopped laughing since. We actually made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It will be out in July.” Beck shared.
According to People, Johnny Depp was reported to perform with Jeff Beck, 2 weeks after winning the trial against Amber Heard. In an attempt to move on from the defamation lawsuit and controversies, Depp turned towards the musician for help and ended up having a memorable time while performing together at the Helsinki Blues Festival.
The late musician appears to have dedicated his life to music and its advancement. From helping Jimmy Page record his iconic Led Zeppelin song in 1971, to helping Johnny Depp move on and revive his musical career, Beck served as a ray of hope and savior of the music industry, while he was alive.
