After the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League, his future became uncertain in the DC Universe. Affleck made his debut in the beloved franchise with the film, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside fan-favorite superhero Superman, played by Henry Cavil.

Even though fans had no idea if Affleck is ever going to wear the Batman suit again, a few months ago, some reports about his return gave hope to his fans. Now though it’s confirmed, he will be appearing in two upcoming DC films, The Flash, and Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.

Due to Ezra Miller’s felony burglary controversy back then, the release of The Flash film was in doubt. Warner Bros even considered a cancellation of the movie as the last escort. But later on, The Flash actor went personally to apologize to Warner Bros for bringing unfavorable attention through controversy.

The Gone Girl star was going to give up on playing the Gotham savior and wanted to give someone else a chance to portray the role.

 ”I tried to direct a version of it and worked with a really good screenwriter but just kinda couldn’t come up with a version that couldn’t crack it, and so I thought it was like, you know, time to let someone else take a shot at it. They got some really good people, so I’m excited.”

But after a few months, Jason Momoa made a surprising announcement about the return of Ben Affleck’s Batman. The Aquaman actor took to Instagram to inform fans that Bruce Wayne will return in his upcoming sequel. It’s not confirmed as of now whether Ben Affleck’s journey as Batman will come to an end after The Flash and Aquaman 2 or not.

But as Warner Bros is restructuring its business, so there is still a little hope to see him once again in the future.

The Flash will hit theatres on July 16th, 2023. Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom will arrive in theatres on December 25th, 2023.
