Big Companies Dropping Out Of Putting Advertisements On X
The transition of Elon Musk taking over Twitter or X has certainly not been a smooth one. on top of the mountain of problems that this platform has faced, recently a storm has come. Musk was involved in another controversy, as per reports, many major companies have decided to stop advertising on X.
With all of the negative attention surrounding this platform, many huge corporations like Apple, Disney, Warner Bro, and more, have decided to pull advertising from this platform, as a show of protest against his remarks on free speech. Recently, Musk was asked about this during a conversation with the New York Times at the DealBook Summit, via BBC. his answer was certainly interesting.
Elon Musk Responds In True Tony Stark Fashion
Elon Musk was asked about what he thinks about this entire situation. he replied that he did not care about this. When he was asked, to elaborate, he stated that if massive corporations like these were going to blackmail him with advertisement and money, he would cuss at them.
“If somebody is going to try to blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money, go f**k yourself. Is that clear? I hope it is. Hey Bob (Iger), if you’re in the audience, that’s how I feel, don’t advertise.”
After saying this, he asked if what he was saying, was clear and then he did something quite bold. He said hello to Bob Iger, the CEO of Disney. He stated that if he was in the audience, this is how he felt about the situation and it was perfectly fine if they did not advertise on his platform.
