As Brie Larson’s The Marvels made its premiere on the silver screens, fans were quite excited to watch the film, despite the assumptions of a low opening because Marvel did not have much hope for the film. And how the film was not postponed though the SAG-AFTRA strike took place. But no matter how much the film was criticized, Nia DaCosta, the film’s director assured that the film will ward off the superhero fatigue that the franchise has been feeling since Avengers: Endgame.

Even though The Marvels is being critically panned, turns out the film is successful as it followed one trick from another renowned name whose superhero films were not critically successful, yet those films were a fan favorite. Yes, we’re talking about Zack Snyder’s DCEU, and how this MCU project is a success as fans are thinking positively of the film.

The Marvels Ends MCU’s Run of Meh Among Its Fans

Many experts had expressed their concerns about The Marvels before its release, stating how the film could perform poorly and how it would be another failed project as people have grown tired of superhero films. However, all those doubts were lost as Nia DaCosta’s project hit the movie theatres. While the film was not critically successful, as the critics stated there were some flaws like the plot and how typical Marvel humor does not work anymore.

But these things couldn’t stop the film from being successful as it debuts with an 85% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes. The fans of the franchise have gone onto social media to share how much they enjoyed the film, as Marvel ended their long run of creating utterly disappointing films.

A fan shared that even though the film was not perfect, they found it quite entertaining to watch it.

Another fan stated how the viewers did not pay heed to critics’ reviews, as they went to watch the film despite their serious opinion.

Despite Being Problematic The Marvels Shines Among the MCU Fans

Almost after five years later, the Marvel Studios have finally come up with a sequel to Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel, though it’s too long to wait for a sequel it was worth it as it is becoming one of the most successful releases from the franchise in recent time. Though the film is far from being perfect, the flawless performance of the lead trio saves the day. Many fans believe that Iman Vellani was the key highlight of the film, as she was charming and embodied her character.

While Samuel L. Jackson has been relegated to a mere comedic relief in the film, all eyes were on him when he was in the scenes as his dialogue made the people laugh. The action scenes were entertaining to watch as it was perfectly choreographed and the perfectly shot camera angles made it hard to ignore.

There are several things that don’t work in The Marvels which mostly varies from person to personmaking it similar to Zack Snyder’s DCEU films which had a similar aspect to it. Though his films were darker in nature, which the MCU film is not, both films have a number of common characteristics, and how they beat the system using their own rules.
