Tesla CEO Elon Musk seems to be in the headlines again due to his ongoing feud with Disney. The businessman has been in attack mode against the House of Mouse ever since the company pulled away as an advertiser for X. That happened after he was accused of supporting antisemitic messaging on the platform.
Musk has verbally retaliated against the company and CEO Bob Iger, and also recently backed actress Gina Carano’s lawsuit against the component for wrongful termination from The Mandalorian. When the businessman recently attended the premiere of the film Lola, he hinted at wanting to buy Disney, driving the Internet into a frenzy.
Why Is Elon Musk Feuding With Disney?

Elon Musk has been known to not mince words and be diplomatic about his feelings about a situation. The owner of X has always been vocal against curbing free speech on the social media platform and has made it a point to call out parties who have indulged in threatening or removing users from the platform in the past.
However, according to Inside The Magic, Musk recently came under fire when he reportedly responded to an antisemitic tweet. He reportedly said, ‘That is the actual truth’ to the post which criticized the Jewish population in the West.
Musk’s endorsement of the tweet reportedly led to many prominent companies retracting their advertising on the platform. Companies such as Apple, IBM, Netflix, and Disney were some of the companies that pulled advertising from the social media platform, which mostly runs on advertising money.

Since then, Musk has been feuding with Disney for their actions as well as their practices in the company. In the recent DealBook Summit, Musk responded to a question that asked about the issue by directly attacking Disney CEO Bob Iger. According to The Verge, he said,
“If somebody is going to try to blackmail me with advertising, blackmail me with money, go f*ck yourself. Go f*ck yourself. Is that clear? I hope it is. Hey Bob, if you’re in the audience.”
The CEO also decided to back the lawsuit filed by actress and former MMA fighter Gina Carano, who was fired from the Disney Plus show The Mandalorian due to her ‘political’ posts on X. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carano was suing both Disney and Lucasfilm to reinstate her as a main cast on the show.

After Disney and many other companies pulled their advertising from X (formerly Twitter), Tesla CEO Elon Musk seemed to have gone on a rampage against the media giant. He has been attacking the company on X, especially against its diversity hiring policy for actors and other positions. He also mentioned in another post that he would be extending legal support to anyone who has faced ‘discrimination’ by Disney due to their hiring policy.
In the post about the company’s hiring practices, Musk was asked by a user if he would buy the company. The CEO only replied with a ‘thinking’ emoji to the tweet, sending the Internet into a frenzy about what was on the man’s mind. Musk also hinted at a Disney takeover in a recent interview with FabTV at the premiere of Lola, which starred actress Nicola Peltz. When asked why was he there at the premiere, he said,
“I’m just here with friends… Thinking about what companies to acquire.”
The Tesla CEO’s comments have been receiving a divisive response on the Internet as many were against his takeover of the social media platform. Fans of the MCU were also not happy with the potential as they were already seeing a downward trend in the quality of the shows over the past few years.

Whether Elon Musk would buy Disney or not, which would take a lot of money, the CEO does not seem to have gotten over the company’s punishment for his problematic posts.
