Action star Dwayne Johnson has been one of the most talked about stars in the past few months, but not necessarily for the right reasons. A Look Back At Dwayne Johnson’s Rift With Vin Diesel

The 5th installment of the Fast and the Furious was bigger and better in more ways than one. While it already had its talisman Vin Diesel, his rival in the film was the equally charismatic wrestling star, Dwayne Johnson. Seeing The Rock and Diesel facing off against each other was a delectable proposition. Unfortunately, the two stars also let their egos clash, apart from their fists and fell out over alleged creative differences in 2016.

Diesel, in an attempt to bury the hatchet years later, handed an olive branch to Johnson stating that Fast X will not be complete without the presence of Hobbs, which was the character that the Black Adam actor played. Johnson though remained steadfast in his decision to not be part of the franchise and stated this in no uncertain terms,

“I told [Diesel] directly that I would not be returning to the franchise. I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return”

Considering the finality of the above comment from Johnson, the latest surprising announcement of his return as Hobbs in Fast X has got tongues wagging about the reasons behind his change of heart. It now remains to be seen if the Jumanji 2 actor has actually accepted the truce that Diesel offered to him.
