Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League appears to be a game that has turned a corner. While the overpriced Early Access saw spectacular complications upon launch affecting gameplay, many players have stuck by the game, and sales have been noted to be positive of late, with the game said to be performing well.
Despite this, many in the community are happy to keep taking pot shots at the Rocksteady title and ridiculing it. However, while we would expect much of the mud-slinging to come from disgruntled DC fans, many would have been surprised to note that an internet browser has jumped on the bandwagon by laying into the game.
How Is the Suicide Squad Game Being Trolled Now?
It has been well-reported how poorly the game has been received, and despite nearly a decade of development, the latest addition to the Arkhamverse has been panned by hardcore fans. However, a recent post on social media site X shows how far the ridicule of the new Rocksteady game has gone.
Internet browser Opera GX decided to jump aboard the troll train and lay into the SS game spectacularly. While perhaps slightly unexpected from the browser, it’s in keeping with the current trend in which many in the community are currently sinking the boot into the DC title.
The post in question shows two images side by side with the caption ‘2015 vs 2024, truly stunning how far graphics have come.’ Queue the influx of comments on the post, many of which were hilarious.
Fan Reaction on Social Media to Suicide Squad Trolling
While the majority of fans commenting were impressed with the trolling level from Opera, it should be pointed out that some came to defend the game. Yes, some fans did indeed highlight how happy they were with the graphics in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Damn dog this game so bad it’s getting cooked by a web browser and I’m here for it keep cooking king 👑 pic.twitter.com/lmDOXNIEwl

However, the people who did come to the defense of the Rocksteady game and its graphics were quickly dismissed by Opera in follow-up posts, themselves highlighting graphics issues. It appears that taking no prisoners is another function in addition to top-tier trolling for the internet browser.
Commercial success may be what the developers judge based on opinions rather than social media posts, but there has been an overriding opinion that Rocksteady should return to what it does best in offline single-player games.
While many regard Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as nothing more than a dumpster fire, the fact that an internet browser is trolling the game speaks volumes.
Despite this, the game does appear to be selling well, and perhaps it has turned a corner; however, time will tell whether it wins the DC fans over.
