In this mode, players had the option to be in a team of six customizable soldiers. Leveling up and unlocking guns, attachments, and perks was easy, as you just had to play AI games against other teams. Leveling up here would also unlock items in multiplayer mode.

The main objective of this specific mode was to defend the bases of the teams against the enemy teams. Enemy teams could assault the bases by beating the teams at their bases. Along with this base assault mode, squads showed many other game options, like defending a larger wave of AI soldiers with your team.

The exciting aspect of this game mode is that you would get a limited amount of XP and the opportunity to unlock stuff in the inventory. Fans have said that they want the developers to shape the game mode in the upcoming title according to Gulf War mechanics and settings.

According to viable leaks and reports, the Gulf War is going to feature absolutely new movement mechanics. And this mechanic is going to be the best any COD title has ever offered.

So far, this title has broken the record for spending the most time on the development bandwagon. So, it’s quite natural why the game is going to have the best movement aspects.

Another reason for these overhaul mechanics is the tertiary weapon slot. In previous Call of Duty titles, there have always been two weapon slots. But the new title will reportedly allow players to have another weapon slot.

This tertiary slot will be used to carry melee weapons like knives. But the interesting part is that, with this slot, players will be able to free their hands, which will indirectly increase the movement pace.

Now, it’s up to Treyarch if they pay heed to this fan’s request to bring back squad mode in the game. What are your thoughts about the Squad mode in Blackthe  Ops Gulf War? Let us know in the comments.
